Yoga Time with Emma
Emma, originally from London, has practised yoga for many years, she originally trained as a Montessori teacher and has worked with children all her life. Emma is a Hatha yoga instructor and a “Rainbow Kids Yoga” teacher. She has also trained with “Special Yoga for Special Children” and she is passionate about the positive effects yoga has on every body and every mind.
Emma’s classes are friendly and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere, she trained in Hatha Yoga and teaches a restorative flow. We all recognise certain yoga poses and the beautiful shapes a body can make, but Emma believes yoga is so much more. The joining of mind and body to ease the stresses and strain of modern life and to achieve inner calm.
Emma’s yoga classes are fun and engaging, they are inclusive and suitable for children of all ages and abilities. Children gain a sense of self as they grow in confidence. Her yoga sessions incorporate music, dance, art, massage and games whilst maintaining a strong sense of calm and mindfulness.
Emma teaches in a number of schools in Bath and the surrounding areas, including Three Ways and Free Rangers Forest School where she also teaches the teachers! Emma has classes at the YMCA nurseries and alongside curriculum work she runs after school clubs in a number of schools.
Emma teaches in 1:1 situations and works closely with children who have a range of needs, including anxiety, Tourette’s, behavioural problems, ASD, ADHD and excluded children. She is prepared to take these sessions in the child’s home, bringing her own unique teaching skills and compassion, enabling the child to achieve calm and inner strength.

Emma's classes are engaging and fun - yet she is able to create a wonderful calm atmosphere with lots of time for mindfulness. Not just great for their bodies but so good for their minds too!
Georgia has been going to Emma’s yoga class for a while now and she absolutely loves it. She has made new friends there and looks forward to going each week. She practices her yoga moves at home too. Emma is a great teacher and a lovely person to have in your child’s life.
Emma’s affable kind fun... her altruism shines through in yoga
Simply the best!! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
Understanding and connecting with people of all ability, shapes and ages
Emma's sessions have exceeded my expectations at doing exercise and finding a sense of peace. She creates a warm, safe, friendly yet professional environment where you truly feel immersed in the healing power of yoga and connected to others.
